Amur North-East - Tokur - Geological Setting
Gold occurs at Tokur in quartz veins cutting Palaeozoic slates and shales, within a thrust-sheet structure. There is apparent secondary enrichment in the oxide zone. Tokur has been mined exstensively underground to a depth of 400 m, and has produced 35 tonnes of gold. The principal mineralisation at the old Tokur Mine was associated with a silicified zone along a major thrust fault, known as the Glavny Fault.
