Peter Hambro Mining Plc is one of the largest gold producers and explorers in Russia with significant assets in a number of regions.

Throughout Russia and the UK the Group employs approximately 3,930 people.  It is committed to the highest standards of environmental management, employee health and safety and support for its neighbouring communities. 

The Group was founded in 1994 in London.  Peter Hambro Mining Plc's shares have traded on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange since 2002. In addition to this, Peter Hambro Mining Plc has an ADR programme with the Bank of New York. 

Peter Hambro Mining Plc has offices in London, Moscow and Blagoveschensk.

In 2004 the Group celebrated its 10th anniversary with record high production and profitability as well as further exploration and development success. In 2007 total attributable gold production was c.297,000 ounces, up by c.14% on the 2006 number and by c.5% on the 2007 forecast.

Peter Hambro Mining Plc is today one of the lowest cost producers of gold in Russia and indeed worldwide with GIS cash operating costs of c.US$134 per ounce (as at 31 December 2006).

Peter Hambro Mining Plc has been granted the Queen's Award For Enterprise for the years 2006 to 2011 due to the Company's outstanding success in international trade.  It has been granted to the Company for increasing overseas revenue more than threefold to £45 million in three years.
