Pokrovskiy Rudnik - About the Operation

The Pokrovskiy deposit is one of the largest producing mine in the Amur region and has been in operation for more than seven years. OJSC Pokrovskiy Rudnik was formed in 1994 and the first gold was recovered from the mine in 1999.

Gold is currently produced at the mine using two main processes: the resin-in-pulp plant and the heap-leach process, with the latter contributing approximately 15% of the mine's production.  The resin-in-pulp plant works all year round and the heap-leach process operates during eight months of the year and is used by the Group in order to treat low-grade material (c. 1g/t).
